Ask me how I earn my living, though, and the answer is a bit more colorful…

Simple truth, I was the kid with the lemonade stand in 6th-grade, the landscaping business in high-school and the mobile-DJ business in college. That last one was the first business I ever built into enough of a presence to actually sell.

Since then, I’ve been a securities lawyer for the S.E.C., and hedge-fund lawyer for a large-firm in NYC and an entrepreneur in the health and fitness industry. Building my own businesses, I developed a serious jones for the psychology of persuasion, marketing and copywriting that inspired me to launch Vibe Creative a boutique creative/marketing group that helps people like you take their businesses to a whole different place.

I’ve also discovered a mad passion for writing, technology and media, which I share as a blogger and podcaster, both here, at my widely-read personal blog, JonathanFields.com, and through a wide-variety of social media platforms and books.

And, circling back to entrepreneurship and mentoring, in February 2008, I launched Career Renegade “the company,” as a home base to spread the word and help train people how to do what I and so many others who’ve joined the movement to come alive have done.

In January 2009, Random House’ Broadway Books, will publish my book, Career Renegade: How To Earn A Great Living Doing What You Love.
