Today’s Career Renegade Profile is a bit different…
I’ve joined up with Technorati Top 100 blogger, Brian Clark, founder of Copyblogger.com and TeachingSells.com. And, rather than diving into his own personal journey (which is actually pretty interesting, lawyer turned blogger/internet marketing mogul), we spent time exploring how people can turn a passion into a serious income through the vehicle of paid interactive learning environments.
Brian is at the forefront in this area, having created his Teaching Sells program, which uses the very format he promotes to teach you how to turn specialized knowledge (doesn’t even have to be yours) into a real, ongoing income stream online.

Conventional Wisdom: The Ultimate Dream Killer
January 6, 2009 by Jonathan Fields · 9 Comments

Conventional wisdom is, by default, drawn out of the mass experience of people…
Mass-experience translates to commonality, to averages, to medians. When you live your life based on conventional-wisdom, then, it stands to reason you can expect to live a conventional, average, middle-of-the-road life.
Question is—is that what you want?
Theodore Roosevelt wrote:
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.
